AZ AFAA Mission Statement
The Arizona Automatic Fire Alarm Association (AZ AFAA) is an affiliate association of the Automatic Fire Alarm Association (AFAA). AFAA was formed in 1953 and is the only national trade association exclusively dedicated to representing the automatic fire detection and fire alarm systems industry. The membership is made up of all segments of industry (manufactures, distributors, state/regional associations, users, AHJ's engineers, and other interested parties.). 
The AZ AFAA and AFAA are committed to influencing codes and standards development at all levels in order to to make buildings safer through the proper application of automatic fire detection and fire alarm systems. AFAA and AZ AFAA actively participate in the code change process of the model building codes organizations. Members also participate in the promulgation of NFPA 101, Life Safety Code and NFPA 72, National Fire Alarm Code.
